Getting there
Harbour Island is one mile off the northeast tip of the island of Eleuthera. Local airport, North Eleuthera (ELH) is only four miles away. Connecting flights to ELH are available from Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Nassau airports. Once you land in ELH, you are almost there!
Know Before You Go
REMINDER: Valid Passports must expire after October 2023.
Once you touch down at ELH: you'll go through customs, collect your luggage, and walk outside to let one of the taxis know you’re headed to the Harbour Island . You may have to wait a few minutes if they're picking up additional guests so grab a Kalik across the street at Jimmy's bar. You're on Island time!
Total travel from ELH to Harbour Island should take 15-20 mins max and will cost $10 per person: $5 for car taxi and $5 for water taxi — cash only!!
THERE ARE NO ATMS AT THE AIRPORT SO PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY!!!
Once on Harbour Island grab a taxi at the government dock that can take you to your accommodations. This will run $5-10 pp depending on where you’re staying on island.
Carry a few spare dollar bills for those that help with luggage (car and water taxi). A small tip is greatly appreciated and goes a long way. Eleuthera is among one of the friendliest places in the world. Be kind!
Airlines
Delta, JetBlue, United and American Airlines are the best options and all have connecting flights to ELH. Silver Airways is not our first choice - lots of delays, cancelations in recent times.
Aztec Airways is another great option out of Ft. Lauderdale! Check out flight options here
On your departure you’ll want to arrive at ELH 2 hours ahead of your flight. Hang out at Aqua Loft until boarding.
Charters
Private air charters are also available for larger groups, potentially a convenient option for friends in the Florida area
